Tracy and I hit the high road for Eugene this weekend. 3 main reasons to go down to Eugene this weekend.
First: Our college friend, Alison, moved to Eugene about 6 months ago and thanks to Facebook we re-connected! Here is a picture of us from (we think) Fall 1999.
Second: To play with these newly turned 1 year olds. Evan and Addison. No they are not twins. 4 days apart and they are totally BFF’s!!
Third: To hit up my favorite dessert place. SWEET LIFE!! If you have ever go to Duck Country, you need to hit up Sweet Life. It is so amazing! Cakes, cupcakes, cookies, gelato, breakfast items, and coffee. What more could someone ask for. Everything is amazing. I would have rather Erin not taken me there 9 years ago because I would definitely be skinnier with more money in the bank.
We had a great time catching up with Alison. We figured it had been 11-12 years since we last saw her. CRAZY how time flies! We took her to a couple of our favorite places and gave her a whole list of other places to go. We had dinner at Turtles saturday night and had lunch at Cornocopia sunday.
We then proceeded to take her to Sweet Life to order dessert and look at photo albums.
We looked at photo albums for hours, laughed and remembered the college days. It seems so long ago. I can not believe I graduated almost 11 years ago. Here are a few of my favorites times in college (and none of them were in Flagstaff).
*We went down to Rocky Point for spring break of ’99. My favorite spring break of college.
*We rented a van and a driver to go down to Phoenix for the Jimmy Buffett concert: April 25, 2000.
*We went to Apache Lake summer ’00. I am not naming names but someone fell down a hill that weekend. Do not worry she lived to tell the story! Right Mandi??
I would say these all made my top 10 best college experiences!
If you have not looked through old college pictures lately. Do it! It is so much fun!
I did manage to get in a 6 mile run this morning. This was my longest run since IMAZ. It felt really good. I hope that means I am on my way to recovery. It was fun seeing some old sights from my EARLY running days.
**Sweet Life was not really a reason to go down to Eugene but it is always a nice treat when I am there. We totally went twice!!**
What was your favorite college experience?
